Beginning December 1 until September 14, 2026, Chinese citizens are allowed to enter Russia without a visa for tourism or business purposes, with stays of up to 30 days.
Data from the Tongcheng Travel platform shows that since November, flight searches from China to Russia have continued to rise, while hotel bookings for Russia as a destination have increased by more than 40% year-on-year. Within half an hour after the visa-free announcement was released on December 1, related searches for Russia on the platform soared by over two times.
