During the Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese always put mugwort leaves on doors or windows to make the air fresh and keep flies and other insects away. In fact, the ideas of Traditional Chinese Medicine are everywhere around us. Following the natural rules can make us healthier. As an old saying goes, “Early to bed, early to rise.” TCM also pays more attention to the balance of diet. Different coloured foods are friendly to different parts of the body. White food is good for lungs, red for heart…If a body is like a tree, TCM focuses on its root (根). It aims at keeping the body and mind in harmony (和谐).
