Men do not help enough around the house. An American university says men don’t do much housework at home. The university looked at working couples after they became parents. Men did five hours a week less housework after they had a baby, even though both parents had jobs.
Becoming a parent added 21 hours a week to a mother's work, mostly looking after her baby. New fathers did not do extra work. They did not know the mother was doing more. After a couple has a baby, men let the mother look after the baby. This happens even when the mother is doing the same number of hours in her job.
