Three years ago, Evelyne Teman was sitting at home playing computer games in Los Angeles in the morning when an ad showed up for clothing called Poshmark. It promised to earn her cash for her used clothes. Poshmark, started in 2011, connects buyers and sellers.
When Teman saw that ad, she thought, “OK, I’ll sign up（注册）for it.” I listed one thing and it sold. Then I started emptying out my closet and everything sold really fast.In less than three months, she had nothing left to sell and had made a lot of money.
“My business is in my hands. I can be online in the market and sell something.” Teman has become one of the most successful sellers on Poshmark in 2015. “In fact, my old clothes let me own $500,000 but I didn’t invest(投资) any money to start,” she says.
At the age of 16, Teman opened her own clothing store in Pairs. She loved it and worked there for about 12 years. But with the birth of her second son, she gave it up because she had to take care of them.
But now Teman can stay at home and do her business with the others all over the world.
