In fact I would suggest everyone —unless you earn over £610,000 a year— should read this, as I want to show you how to give yourself a money makeover. One of the great joys in January for me is that, because of the high cost of Christmas, people have an idea for saving money. A typical family can easily save £1,000 a year by doing this. The aim is to save, by finding how to do the same thing and pay less.
Here I've picked 3 big and easy ones.
1. Stop smoking and drinking.
Smoking and drinking is not good for your health. If you stop them, you will save a lot of money each month. If you can't stop them at once, you can stop them slowly.
2. Have a good driving habit.
You'd better have a driving habit. Speed up more gradually, change up a gear earlier, and watch road carefully. You will say, "Thanks to driving tips, I have saved myself £20 in fuel in one month driving more carefully."
3. Don't buy things that you will not use.
When you go shopping, you'd better make a shopping list. Then you won't buy the things that you will not use.
