An 11-year-old girl's genius response on a school feedback form has earned her online fame.
Ava, who is the daughter of Mason Cross, was asked to give feedback on her teacher for an end-of-year review and said she was opposed to his use of “collective punishment”. When asked what her teacher could do better, Ava, from Glasgow, wrote: “Not use collective punishment as it is not fair on many people who did nothing.” This may happen in her class when one student was naughty and all the students were punished for what that student had done.
Mason, an author, shared a picture of her clever and interesting answer online, writing: “My daughter actually submitted(提交) this feedback at school. I am not sure now if I should ground(禁足) her or buy her ice cream.” Within minutes his tweet had gone popular, with more than 122,000 retweets and countless comments—and many people calling for the schoolgirl to be rewarded with her favourite frozen dessert. Many praised Ava for “thinking her mind” while one person suggested she should be awarded “extra points for her creative thinking and excellent example”. The person even called for the youngster to be the next Prime Minister.
Crime writer Mason, who wrote the critically acclaimed(广受好评的) Carter Blake thriller series, told Femail,“I thought the online response was really funny and absolutely typical of Ava, who I haven't managed to do best in an argument since she turned six. Apparently her teacher was amused too. I think we owe her some ice cream!” He later tweeted a picture of the youngster enjoying not one but two cones(蛋筒).
