Shilah Calvert Yin is from Melbourne, Australia. Shilah’s hair is unbelievably bouffant(蓬松的). Her hair style is caused by Uncombable Hair Syndrome(蓬发综合征). Just 100 people around the world have the illness. This rare illness makes her hair as wild as Albert Einstein.
Her hair style gets a lot of attention from people in the street. Shilah said she loves her special hair style because “it’s not boring like everyone else’s”.
The family had no idea about Shilah’s illness until about nine months ago. A doctor told them the knowledge of UHS. In order to show off her fine hair, Shilah and her family created an Instagram account(账户). The account could also show how the girl’s condition changes with age.
The girl wants to be a model. Her family hope she will show the positive(积极的) side of having such an illness.
