Mothers all over the world speak to babies in the same way. Scientists say "motherese" is a way of speaking the language. Motherese helps babies know and learn the language easily. Some people think talking to babies is not important, but scientists say it is not true. Mothers always talk to them, so they can learn to speak quickly. And scientists say it doesn’t make one feel bad to talk to a baby.
Scientists record(录音) 24 different mothers speaking 10 languages. The mothers play with and read to their babies. Their babies are between seven months and one year old. Scientists find that the mothers'voices change in the same way, in any language. The study says fathers probably also speak to their babies in a similar(相似的) way.
