Mr. And Mrs. White married twenty-six years ago. They bought a house at that time. From then on, they have lived in it. Mr. White goes to work at half past seven every morning from Monday to Friday and Mrs. White does the housework every day. Both of them enjoy their work very much.
There are a lot of houses in their street, and most of their neighbors are kind and friendly. One day, the family who lived in the house opposite them moved away. After about three weeks, a young couple(夫妇) came to live in it.
Mrs. White watched them for a few days from her window. One evening, when her husband came back from work, she said to him, “Tony, the man who lives in that house opposite us always embraces(拥抱) his wife when he leaves in the morning and embraces his wife again when he comes home in the evening. Why don't you do that?”
Mr. White thought for a while and answered, "I don't know her very well yet." From then on, Mrs. White never mentioned it again.
