A group of couriers(快递员) in east China joined hands to save a boy who fell from the sixth floor of a high building on May 22.
The breathtaking moment happened at a community in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, around noon. A 4-year-old boy hung at the edge of the fourth floor after falling from a window on the sixth floor.
Couriers from a delivery station of Yunda Express located downstairs rushed to save him as soon as they discovered the situation. They got together below and tried to catch him with bed sheets, but before they could totally prepare, the boy slipped, making them have to catch him with their arms as well.
His fall was slightly broken by a huge umbrella put up at the ceiling of the first floor to keep off the sun, before he was caught by the couriers below. One of the rescuers, Wang Rulin, hurt his right arm heavily in the process of catching the boy. And the boy was rushed to hospital after that where a doctor said he broke his right leg.
The family of the boy said they would thank the couriers in person after their child was in a stable condition.
