Many things in our life will make us sick. Number one is our unpredictable schedule. One of our biggest stressors(压力源) is not finances or marriage but the lack of a regular routine. Even simply eating lunch an hour later than usual can increase the levels of the stress. Try to eat, sleep, and exercise at the same time every day, 365 days a year. Watch out for the silent signs of stress that are making you sick.
Number two is our fruits and vegetables selections. By the time farm product travels from its source to store shelves, it has lost many of its disease-fighting compounds(化合物). So we need to buy fresh vegetables locally or when in season. If not, we can buy frozen vegetables because it can prepare at peak to lock in nutrients.
Number three is doing sports. Even if you exercise hard, spending the rest of your day sitting could affect blood sugar and blood pressure. Find little ways to get moving all day long, including these ways to stay fit without working out.
The last is our smoking habit. If the cancer risk alone wasn't a good enough reason to quit this habit, here's one more: Smoking can decrease our immune function, and we are more likely to catch the flu, cold, or pneumonia(肺炎). Don't miss these clear signs that we're getting sick.
