Rudolph Ingram has hit the headlines several times. He has been turning heads—because of his speed. And people have compared him with Usain Bolt, the fastest man in the world. He is only seven years old.
Ingram got interested in running at an early age. One day, he watched the Olympics. The next morning, he woke up ready to train. And Ingram really has a talent for running. Now, he has broken U.S. track and field records for his age group. He finished his latest 100-meter dash(短跑) in just 13.48 seconds.
Ingram always wants to win. When he falls behind in a race, he will try his best to get faster. He never gives up and he does not like to feel like a loser.
The young athlete has watched Usain Bolt’s documentary many times. He wants to break the 100-meter record (9.58 seconds) the world-famous runner has set. Ingram also dreams of being an American football player.
Ingram’s father, however, says the goal now is to let the boy be a kid. “No matter what he wants to do, I’ll be behind him,” the father said. “If he wants to win an Olympic medal, that will be great. If he doesn’t, that will be great, too.”
