How can schools help students reduce stress? Different schools have different ways. Some give yoga classes, some hold concerts, and some others have crying rooms. But recently, a Dutch university has done something unusual. It has dug a “grave” for students to lie down inside it.
Does it sound crazy? Actually, it is quite strange. In fact, the grave is an open hole in the school garden. Inside the hole, there is a dry mat and a pillow. Each student at a time can use the grave for thirty minutes to three hours. They are not allowed to take smart phones and books with them.
According to the school, the grave is not about death. It invites the students to think about what is really important in life. They should know what is their goal and what they should do.
