Scientists find a new star. They saw it in 2018. The star gives off energy(能量) every 18 minutes. The scientists don’t know why. It might be a neutron star(中子星). The new star is very small and heavy. Energy comes out from it regularly.
This star is different from other stars. Scientists have never found a star like it before. They said that there would be these kinds of stars. But they never found one. They think that this kind of star is not visible. Surprisingly, the new star is very bright. A student found it before scientists saw it in 2018.
This is the only star of this kind. Scientists hope that they can find other similar stars in the future.
