A 17-year-old young man was reunited(重聚) with his dog Jada after dropping her off at an animal shelter(收容所) in Mississippi in early April. “He is 17, says he lives under a bridge. He walked her all the way to the shelter and asked us to please take her because he couldn’t afford to keep her,” the shelter said. “This is where she lay after her owner was forced to give up her with her plastic bag of dog food and a blanket.”
“We’re a shelter, so we’re worried about the dog, but more importantly, we were worried about him,” Kris Robinson, the shelter’s director said. “He filled out a form(表格) with a little bit of information about himself, and we were able to pass that along to some people who could help him.”
Though it has not been known where the man was living or what caused him to leave home, the Senatobia Police Department said officers had found the man with the help of several community members.
The next day he found a place to stay and was reunited with Jada. “He’s able to go to someone’s house and be with them for a while while he gets his life back on track,” Robinson said. A local church(教堂) is taking donations(捐赠) to help the family that will be caring for the man and Jada.
