Jennifer Vernancio is a mother of two. She became a waitress(女服务员) at a restaurant three years ago. Last Wednesday, she met some problems and felt bad before work.
“My first table of the day was a nice man and his wife,” she said. They ordered sandwiches. “The man said ‘Have a nice day!’ to me when leaving.” said Vernancio. “I went over to the table and saw the $810 tip(小费). I was really surprised and brought it to my manager(经理). I said ‘This can’t be.’ And she said, ‘Oh no, that’s it.’”
Vernancio said she didn’t know the name of the couple(夫妻), but she would never forget their kind act. With the money, she bought her daughter a pair of new shoes, sent her son a toy police truck, and paid off some bills.
“To the man and his wife, I just want to say thank you so much.” Vernancio said. “The kindness behind the money made me very happy.”
