Three brothers want to make their mother happy. So they do something for her.
The first brother buys her a house. He wants her to live comfortably(舒服地). The second brother buys her a car. Then she can go everywhere by car. The third brother buys her a parrot(鹦鹉). Why? Because the mother loves to read, but she has bad eyesight. The parrot can read books to her.
Soon, the brothers get letters from their mother. The first letter reads, “The house is very big. I only live in one room, but I must clean all rooms.” The second son gets a letter, “I don’t go out very often. I don’t need the car.” The third son gets a letter, “My sweet boy, the chicken is very delicious. I love it. Thank you.”
