Blind people can’t see well or at all. They can’t see coming cars. So they can’t walk on the street safely or freely.
Mael Fabien wants to help them. He thinks that robots can help. He looks at automatic(自动的) cars and studies how they work. Automatic cars drive without a driver. The cars can see obstacles(障碍物).
Then Fabien gets an idea. He and his team make a special device(设备). A blind person wears the device around his neck. The device can know the obstacles. Then it makes a noise to warn him. So the blind person knows where the obstacles are.
People can buy the device in September 2022. It’s $3,150.
