A 94-year-old woman from New Hampshire started a trip to meet again with her 90-year-old little sister. They made a video. That video has touched the hearts of millions.
The video recorded the touching moment when the sisters said goodbye to each other. The younger sister, Shirley, said in the video, “If we don’t see each other on this earth, we’ll see you in heaven (天堂).” To which, Barbara, the 94-year-old from Seabrook, replied, “Of course, of course.”
“This reunion (重聚) was three years in the making,” shared Stephanie Shively, Barbara’s granddaughter. Because of COVID-19, Barbara had been unable to see her sister since 2020. However, she made a decision to make one last trip all the way to Nevada. Stephanie accompanied (陪伴) Barbara on this journey and recorded the heartfelt goodbye.
The night before their trip, she recorded a sad conversation before bed in which Shirley said, “Don’t say goodbye!” Barbara said to her, “I’m not going to! There’s no way I’m going to say goodbye to you.”
Stephanie posted the touching video on TikTok for other family members at first. However, it took the Internet by storm. Nearly 13 million people watched it.
