Today I will talk about public speaking. How to give a successful public speech is a popular topic for young people. They think it’s the most acceptable way to show their ability and persuade others to trust their leadership in the workplace.
At the beginning of the speech, wave your hands or greet with them formally and promptly. Leave 5 or 10 minutes to answer their questions and take photos with them after the speech.
Choose a topic that you are really good at and make a concise PPT, giving only the information that is necessary and important, using few words. Use your speech, personality and body language to attract the audience. PPT is just a tool that helps you to show graphs and words to the general public.
It’s better to use short and complete sentences to give the speech. Don’t use long and complicated(复杂的) sentences to express your opinions. It will make the audience feel bored.
Remember you only have one chance to give a public speech, do your best to give an unforgettable first impression to the audience. Some people say that they feel nervous about giving a speech in public. If you spend time on your speech and learn how to give a better speech, I bet that you will forget what makes you nervous.
Last but not least, know your audience. Show your respect to the audience, because they come from different countries with different cultures and education backgrounds. Check your speech materials, make sure they can all be understood.
