Ma Kettle is an arthritic senior Lab. She walked 30 miles to try to get home. But her former family sent her away again.

Ma Kettle’s first owner died in 2012, leaving her homeless. Her second owner got her from the Chautauqua County Animal Shelter, in Kansas, but then sent him back to the Shelter, because Ma Kettle could not get along well with a new puppy. She escaped from the shelter and walked 30 miles to be back to the family with the puppy. But things didn’t end happily. The family didn’t let her stay.

However, here is good news. Ma Kettle got a new family. And its new owner is Helen Rosburg. She loves Ma Kettle very much and she’s taking good care of her.
