I had a great trip to London a few years ago. I was living in a host family, and since it was my first time abroad, it was a bit of a culture shock.

When I walk on the street, there are a lot of strangers saying hi to me. And most of them say it in Chinese. So sweet! In China, when we see foreigners, most of us feel shy to say hello. But for once, I said hi to a foreigner at Starbucks and she smiled back at me.

Sometimes I saw people wearing T-shirts with weird Chinese on them. I don’t know if they knew the meaning. Actually I think the feeling that we have is the same as that of western people when they see weird letters on our clothes.
