Ri Ri and Shin Shin are two cute giant pandas. They left Tokyo’s Ueno Zoo in Japan on September 29, 2024.

Ri Ri and Shin Shin come from Sichuan in China. They went to live at Ueno Zoo 13 years ago. In 2017, they had a baby panda Xiang Xiang. Xiang Xiang returned to China last year. In 2021, Ri Ri and Shin Shin had twin cubs Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei.

Ri Ri and Shin Shin are now 19 years old. They have health problems because they are old. So they come back to China for better care and treatment (治疗).

On September 28, lots of people came to the zoo to see Ri Ri and Shin Shin one last time. They were sad and cried.
