Ria was a 5-year-old girl. She lived with her mother. Life was hard. They didn’t have enough food.
One day, Ria’s mother got sick. They had no food. Ria went to the forest and met an old woman. The woman gave her a magic pot. She said, “Say ‘Cook, little pot!’ for food and ‘Stop, little pot!’ to stop it.” At home, Ria tried the pot. It made sweet porridge (粥)! Now they ate well every day.
One afternoon, Ria went out. Her hungry mother said, “Cook, little pot!” But she forgot to say “Stop!” The pot kept making porridge. Soon, porridge filled their house, and the street! When Ria came back, she shouted, “Stop, little pot!” just in time.
