The 2025 World Games had a beautiful opening in Chengdu! The ceremony was full of exciting moments. Flying discs flew high in the sky, firing up everyone’s excitement. Olympic champions Wang Shun and Pan Zhanle and others carried the Olympic flag seriously. People online loved their together moment a lot.
The most surprising part was lighting the main torch. Famous players Ding Junhui and Dong Dong first held a torch designed like bamboo. They passed the torch to water skiers Xu Lu and Alu Xiaobo. The skiers then rode across the water on motorboats and lit the main fire rising from the lake. Fire and water came together perfectly, showing how people everywhere are connected. Chengdu proved it’s a great place where sports bring the world together, creating new stories.
