UBTECH launched its full-size hyper-realistic humanoid robot U1 series on June 30, featuring blinking, head-turning and dancing, with a focus on daily companionship and emotional support. The lineup includes the U1 Lite (119,800 yuan), U1 Pro (169,800 yuan), and the U1 Ultra male version (990,000 yuan) and female version (880,000 yuan). Orders have surpassed 10,000 units. CEO Zhou Jian said that while the technical difficulty of mass production is high, costs and prices are expected to drop as production scales up. Vice President Jiao Jichao highlighted fine head structures, servo miniaturization and emotional models as key challenges. UBTECH shares closed up 7.48% on the day.
