Recently, the Ministry of Education released the Catalog of Undergraduate Majors in Regular Higher Education Institutions (2026), adding 38 new undergraduate majors in one go, which will officially begin enrolling students this year. This marks the largest round of undergraduate major adjustments in recent years — for the first time, the proportion of major adjustments across the country has exceeded 10%. Among the newly added majors this year, there are those serving cutting-edge technologies, such as Embodied Intelligence and Brain-Computer Science and Technology, as well as those geared towards the main economic battlefield, such as Low-Altitude Economy and Management and Digital Trade.
