一场穿过森林的极限赛跑
In Malaysia, there is a trail race called the Tunggul Melati Trail (TMT). It takes runners through forests and hills,with beautiful views. This year, 1,525 runners from 25 countries took part in it.
Halimatun Saadiah Mat Nor, a 33-year-old runner, joined the 65km race. It was her first time at the TMT. The race was very hard. She ran in the dark through the night. The heat and endless hills pushed her to her limit. “Towards the end, I felt like crying,” she said.
But Halimatun did not give up. She kept going and finished the race. What’s more, she became the champion of the Women’s Open 65-km category! She said the race tested her body and also her mind.
The trail race is not only a sports event. It also brings visitors and money to the area. The organizer hopes the race will grow bigger and welcome more runners from around the world.
