中国代表团出征名古屋亚运会

Early on September 16, groups from China’s sports delegation for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games departed Beijing. China’s table tennis team, led by Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha, and the badminton squad, led by Shi Yuqi and Chen Yufei, flew from the Capital Airport to Japan for final pre-Games training. The full Chinese delegation has 1,274 members, including 815 athletes, spearheaded by 36 Olympic champions, competing in 38 sports.

Table tennis events will run from September 20 to 28, with seven gold medals up for grabs and the team gold to be decided on September 24. Players will fight for all golds within nine days, and the WTT China Smash will start only two days after the Asian Games, posing a big physical challenge.
