In mid-April, he returned to Brazil for a five-city cultural tour, where the dragon dance was among the activities. People in these cities felt his great love for showing them how the Chinese dragon came alive before their eyes.
His journey mirrors a wider moment of culture communication. China and Brazil have named 2026 as the China-Brazil Year of Culture, with activities including performances, arts, music and tourism.
“People both in China and Brazil are very open to different cultures,” he says, “When I’m in China, the Chinese people teach me how to perform dragon dance. And when it is brought to Brazil, it wins the hearts of Brazilian people. ▲ ”
As for his next step, whether he stays in China or returns to Brazil, his goal is clear: to keep the dragon moving between cultures. Dragon dance not only helps him understand China, but also makes him love Chinese culture.
