Krystal Duhaney and her husband Patrick know what it’s like to be first-time parents. “When we had our first child, We had no savings so we struggled to_______, just like most new parents. That is to say we had to spend money according to what we earned,” Krystal said.
Hoping to inspire others to spread kindness, Krystal posted a video of their adventure to Instagram. “We really wanted to make things a little easier. Hopefully brighten their day and hopefully inspire others to kind of, you know, spread joy and kindness,” Krystal said.
In total, Krystal said she left about $1,000 in cash at the different Target stores. “As parents raising two young children, it’s really important for us to let our children know kindness matters, or they will never know what somebody’s going through,” she said.
The video has more than 93,000 likes and has inspired many Instagram users to follow suit. “This is really surprising! It gives me tears to think of a potential parent in need opening this. You’ve inspired me to do the same! God bless you!” one person said.
“Thanks for doing this and posting about it,” another wrote. “My wife and I will definitely do this to help those poor people around us.”
