1. Water-Based Batteries: Safe and Eco-Friendly
A new type of battery uses water instead of chemicals inside. Unlike traditional batteries, these water-based batteries never catch fire or explode (爆炸), making them much safer for electric cars and energy storage. Even after 2,000 charges, they still work perfectly! Best of all, they are easy to recycle and cause far less pollution to our soil and water.
2. Recycling Old Batteries
Did you know? Last year, a company called CATL recycled 130,000 tons of old batteries — enough to fill 5,000 school buses! Their “Global Energy Loop” plan turns used batteries into new ones. By 2045, half of all new batteries will be made from recycled materials. This saves precious metals and reduces mining, protecting mountains and forests.
