The FIBA Asia Cup 2025 took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from 5-17 August. The Chinese national basketball team tried their best and played great.

The final was held on the evening of August 17th. In the first quarter, Hu Jinqiu scored first. Then Australia got a three-pointer (a long-range shot). Scores went up and down. At last, China ended the first quarter 25:17.​​

In the second quarter, Wang Junjie helped China get a 15-point lead. Australia got closer, but Hu Mingxuan’s three-pointers kept China ahead 46:42 at half-time. 

Next, both played hard. China led by 3 points going into the last quarter.

The final quarter was exciting. Both teams fought hard until the end. The game was very close. At last, Australia won with a final score of 90:89.

China lost by one point but got second place, their best achievement in ten years. We are proud of their great spirit!
