These days, a special slackline competition started in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province. Over 20 top athletes from China and other countries joined the event.

The athletes had to walk 1,000 meters on a slackline. This is the highest-paying extreme sports competition in the world. Brazilian athlete Gustavo said Zhangjiajie’s special geography made the challenge (挑战) special. Another athlete, Mateus, called the slackline the longest he’d ever tried. He hoped to win his third title (冠军) in China.

Since 2018, this competition has become a famous event of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
