Sanket Reddy has spent years in forests around the world taking photos of wildlife. While the animals have always interested him, the people who live alongside them have changed how he sees the world and himself. "Life lessons from those people have truly moved me," he says.
From South India to Central America, Sanket has met communities who live in peace with nature. "They understand the value of every species(物种), no matter how small," he says. " Even if you are just watching sparrows(麻雀), you might try to understand why they are doing what they are doing." In our busy lives, we often fail to notice these small moments(瞬间). But to Sanket, they matter. Because noticing is the first step towards caring. And once you care, the protection of wildlife feels like a natural thing.
For Sanket, wildlife photography has never been about becoming famous. "I do it to add value to animals' lives," he says. "Don't do it to get a few good pictures."
Sanket shares the stories and moments that shaped him in1 his book View Finder. "I feel I need to pass on what I have learned from nature to the young people. They are the future," he says.
