
Atacama Desert is in Chile. It’s very dry there. But now the desert is covered in pink, purple, yellow, red, blue, and white flowers.
Many people are visiting to see this beautiful sight. Maritza Barrera drove six hours with her two kids to see the flowers. “It’s more amazing than I thought!” she said.
Most flowers will disappear by November, but some will stay until December.
Atacama Desert is very dry. It usually gets little rain, but this year it got much more. When there’s enough rain and the weather is right, seeds in the ground wake up and grow into flowers.
