Liu Mengjia is a 17-year-old girl from Chongqing. At 7, her PE teacher found she had great talent for sports. She was sent to Qianjiang Sports School. She tried many sports and chose weightlifting (举重). At first, she thought it was easy. But she soon knew it needed lots of hard practice. In 2023, she won a national gold medal. In 2024, she lifted 99kg and broke the world youth record. Liu keeps working hard and hopes to achieve more in the future.
