Englishmen like good food, and more than half of them go to a restaurant every two weeks. Fast food is also very popular. Thirty percent of adults have a hamburger every week, but forty-six percent have fish and chips.
Englishmen don’t like sports. Only seventeen percent of people go swimming every month, about nine percent go cycling, eight percent play golf and only six percent of people play football, but thirty-two percent go to watch it.
Films are very popular, and about sixty percent of people aged between 15 and 24 go to the cinema every month. At home, people watch TV for about three hours every day.
Englishmen like going traveling, and 56 million go to have holidays every year. Most of them don’t spend holidays in the U.K. Twenty-seven percent of people are in Spain, ten percent are in the USA, and nine percent are in France. Maybe this is because the weather in the U.K. isn’t very good.
