“The Litchi Road” is a famous TV show. It is based (为基础) on a book with the same name. The book was written by Ma Boyong.
The story happened long ago in China, during the Tang Dynasty. It is about a man named Li Shande. He is a clerk in the city of Chang’an. Li is given a very hard job. He must bring fresh lychees, a kind of fruit, from Lingnan all the way to Chang’an. Lingnan is very far away. This journey is long and dangerous. Li has very little time. He must travel thousands of miles quickly. He needs to get the fruit to Chang’an before it goes bad. It is a very difficult task.
