David is a cancer survivor and retired. He has played the lottery since 1982. “I check my ticket. If I win, I’m happy. If not, I try again,” he said. In less than nine months, David has won $2.5 million in total. Last year, he won $500,000 in August and another $1 million in November. But that’s not all. Over ten years ago, he also won $250,000! His latest winning ticket was bought by chance. He got it while he was buying gas.

David’s luck surprises everyone. When he showed the ticket to his friends he meets for coffee, they said, “Again?” His wife is still surprised too. But they are enjoying life together. With his last prize, he took his wife to Hawaii. Next they’re going to Newfoundland!

David knows he is very lucky. “The chance of winning is very, very small,” he laughed. “I don’t think I’ll win again, but I still buy tickets.”
