Research shows that not sleeping enough can lead to lower grades and negative moods. Because of this, some places have now encouraged schools to start later. Other places think early starts help busy families. We asked four students what they think.
Schools should start later. When you’re in school, usually between the ages of 4 and 22, your brain is not yet fully developed. You need more sleep to stay healthy and learn well. — Alice, 9Later starts sound nice, but school would end later too. Then there’s less time for sports, clubs, or hobbies.
