One day, 12-year-old Ramir smelled smoke in his home. He was talking to Grandma upstairs when strange noises came from the kitchen. Seeing smoke rise, he didn’t get scared. He shouted “Fire!” to warn Grandma, and then ran quickly into the living room. His baby brothers (1 and 2 years old) were sleeping on the couch. Ramir carried both outside, and then helped Grandma get out safely. Minutes later, flames took over their house. All the family stayed safe because of Ramir!
