微信又更新,推出“后悔药”

Recently, WeChat released a new test version for Android users — version 8.0.63. This update brings several useful and fun changes.

One handy feature is the “undo” option after deleting a chat. If you delete a conversation by mistake, you can tap “undo” within 5 seconds to bring it back. It’s like a “take-back” button!

Another new option lets you choose whether to keep the chat history when removing a contact. If you don’t select that option, your chat records will still be there even after deleting the friend. You can re-add the person later without losing any messages.

WeChat also reminds users that if an account is not used for over a year, it may be reclaimed (收回). Once an account is reclaimed, all its content, such as Moments posts, chat records, profile pictures, and WeChat IDs, will be cleared and cannot be recovered. To avoid this, WeChat suggests that users log in to their accounts regularly (at least once a year) and back up important content like pictures and files from chat records on their phones or computers.

There are a few other small changes too, like how friend permissions and public account lists are displayed. Some users also briefly got a feature to send Live Photos to WeChat friends, but it was quickly taken back by the WeChat team. It may come back in the future.

Most of these features are still being tested, so not everyone has them yet. If you don’t see the changes, just wait — they’re coming soon!
