Reporters help us understand what is going on in the world. A reporter may use a pen, a notebook and a voice recorder on the job. Here is how reporters do their job.
Reporters do research (研究). Reporters read the latest news. That helps them know what questions to ask.
Reporters do interviews. Reporters talk to people. They ask questions to find out more about a story.
▲ After getting all the facts (事实), reporters sit down to write. They put people’s words in the interviews into the story. They work with an editor (编辑) to make sure that they write the story well.
Reporters check their work. Reporters tell true stories. They check their work to make sure they have all the facts right. If they have made a mistake, they fix it.
