Amanda is a worker. She works in an office. She goes to work every weekday. On the weekend she stays with her grandparents. She likes taking them for picnics in the park. And they sometimes go fishing by the lake.
Amanda used to start work at 7 o’clock in the morning and finish at 10 o’clock at night. She liked her work, and she wanted to be a good worker, but she had one problem because of her boss.
Her boss told her to do one thing, and then he changed his mind. He told her to do another thing, and then he changed his mind again. He told her to do something else, and again, changed his mind. Amanda didn’t like this. She thought, “This is a waste of time!”
One day, Amanda decided to talk with him. She went to his room and said: “I like to work. I work a lot of hours. I am a good worker. But I can’t work like this. We have to work better. You need to tell me what to do without changing your mind.” Amanda’s boss listened to her. He knew that she was right. He promised to listen to her advice.
Now Amanda is happy. She comes to work every day. She starts at 7 o’clock and finishes at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, but she completes much more things than before! Both Amanda and her boss are happy.
