Changing to a healthy lifestyle is a common goal, but where should you actually begin? After deciding you want to make a change, the next step is to believe you can actually do it and come up with a plan. Here are some ways of changing your unhealthy lifestyle.
Identify the bad or unhealthy habits. Find out the habits in your life that you want to change. Then, come up with the reason why you want to change for each habit. Maybe it’s for your own health. Or you may do that for someone else.
Make the negative triggers(消极诱因) in your life disappear. If social media makes you feel bad about yourself, delete the account. If using the smartphone makes you stay up late, get away from it at night. You probably already know what causes your bad habits, find a way to avoid those triggers. But do remember, don’t blame others or a lack of time for not being able to change your bad habits. Take the responsibility yourself for making those changes.
Believe that you can change. The secret of success is to tell yourself you can do something. Know that it will take time and you might meet with some difficulties. Changing isn’t easy. Just continue working hard.
