A man found $5,000 in some donated (捐赠) clothes. He found the owner and returned the money.
Oliver Jolis works at a Pick Of The Litter Thrift Shop. The shop raises money for someone in need. Jolis was sorting (整理) through recent clothing donations when he found a bag. “Money just started falling out,” Jolis said. “It kept falling and falling. I said ‘This is a lot of money here’. I can’t believe my eyes.” He found a total of $5,000 in cash.
Inside the bag, he also found an old piece of paper with car insurance (保险) information. With the help of his coworkers, they contacted the woman. Then they asked the woman to answer all their questions. At last, they made sure the woman was the owner.
The woman told the news outlet: “He could have just put the money in his pocket (口袋) and that was the end of the day and nobody would have known but he didn’t. I really thank him for what he did.” “Whatever you do in this world comes back to you.” she added.
